Product Description

He is the ultimate Autobot weapon. His strength, endurance and courage are limitless. His fireblast is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. And now, the ultimate Autobot weapon has become the ultimate Transformers figure. Standing over 2 feet tall, this Generations Titan Class Metroplex figure is the largest converting Autobot figure.

The most vast and mighty Autobot ever created, Metroplex is a member of a race long thought of as nothing more than legend. He is impossibly ancient, brought online in a time before the long memory of his Autobot comrades even began. The biggest converting Autobot figure features 3 modes for maximum Transformers action. Start in Robot Mode. Convert to a rolling battle platform, then convert again to an Autobot city. On the planet Cybertron, the Autobot Scamper patrols the borders of Metroplex. This Titan Class Metroplex figure comes with a Legends Class Scamper figure. Transformers figures first hit U.S. shelves in 1984. The 2014 Thrilling 30 celebration honors that legacy. As part of that celebration, the Generations line will feature the legendary characters and fan favorites who have fought the epic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. You can re-create those battles with this large Metroplex figure. Metroplex is a living artifact of an era when Cybertron was united, and needed defenders only against hostile outsiders. It is his memory of that peaceful past that drives him to fight for the Autobots. It his is hope for the return of peace that motivates him to crush every Decepticon he can see beneath his mighty feet. Figures from Legends Class 2-packs are also compatible with Metroplex in City Mode or Vehicle Mode. (Each 2-pack sold separately.) Fire the launching missile, activate lights and sounds, and imagine you're blasting Decepticons, just like Metroplex does in the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron video game from Activision (video game rated T for Teen).

I love Metroplex so much that this is my second purchase

I love Metroplex so much that this is my second purchase
As the title goes, you can pretty much expect that I'm a die hard Metroplex fan since I was young. So this is my second purchase after receiving the first and was in awe on how big it is (thats what she said....) but enough of the jokes and let me give you a little info about this bad boy since a lot of guys like me already hammered it too many times. For the price of $124.99 from Amazon (as opposed to BBTS $109.99 limited stock) is a pretty good deal, never ever buy anything above that since I feel you are just shooting yourself on the foot for paying too much and still have to do a lot of the labor of attaching the arm and the stickers; and this is probably one of the reasons Hasbro was able to get the price down, just think about how much it will cost if the factory have to apply the sticker, bigger box, paint etc. before hitting retail stores... just something for you guys to think about. Also I typed earlier that I bought two of them and the reason is because the first one was meant to be just for me for display. But when my 6 year old son saw Metroplex he just got too excited and started playing it along with the other Transformer toys he has. Seeing this reaction and realizing how much activity and transforming is happening on a daily basis, there is no way his joints will last long even if some of them have the ratcheting points that prevents gravity from doing its job. So I thought to myself sure lets give this Metroplex some field testing (though my son) and see how long it will last before the toy becomes loose. But also I decided that I will get another one just in case Amazons inventory runs out of stock of Metroplex and other buy & sell "stores" starts asking for an arm and a leg to get this guy. Sticker application took me around 2 + hours with my son that tells me to keep putting the stickers on when my eyes veers to the Transformer movie. My plan for the second one will be mostly modifications since now I know that my son has his own Metroplex; I can do whatever I want to this guy and will start disassembling it so I can touch it up and put some chrome paint and other battle damage detail mods so it will look like it went through some battle with the Decepticons. I'm looking forward for Hasbro to release a 30th+ anniversary of Primus, Unicron and a Fall of Cybertron edition of Metroplex. So in closing if you do pick this guy up and you like Metroplex, you will not be disappointed.
